Evergreen Acton Academy is a K–12 private school rooted right here in the Selah community, where learning looks the way it should: hands-on, curiosity-driven, and built around the belief that every child has something extraordinary to offer. Founded in 2019 by a mother-daughter team of educators, Evergreen has grown from a living room with twelve students into an award-winning institution — earning the prestigious Yass Prize for Education Freedom and a $200,000 grant as one of Oklahoma's top innovative private schools.
This isn't a traditional classroom. Evergreen students set their own goals, launch real businesses, pursue apprenticeships alongside working professionals, and develop the kind of grit and character that can't be taught from a textbook. Guides lead through questions, not lectures. The campus has an outdoor classroom, farm animals, and room to explore — because nature is part of the curriculum, not the backdrop.
Now located on Selah Way, Evergreen is building toward its long-term home right here in our community, with plans to serve up to 150 learners. For families at Selah, that means a world-class education isn't across town. It's a walk from your front door.
